Network organizers are intergenerational volunteers with organizational skills, who volunteer also to maintain the network of intergenerational volunteers in their local community. They lead the intervision groups and provide the communication link between local communities and the Institute of Anton Trstenjak. Usually they also lead the Intergenerational association for quality ageing that is established in local community where Institute works to ensure the sustainability of the programs.
Network-organizers first attend the basic training at Anton Trsenjak Institute and then participate in many learning meetings over the whole year, because the lifelong learning and personal growth are very important for well-being when working with people.
Objectives of the training are:
- maintaining volunteer work (es. method of intervision groups),
- group leading and using group social learning method,
- organization and maintenance of network of intergenerational programmes for quality ageing,
- public speaking
- management of Intergenerational association for quality ageing
- motivating stakeholders in field of quality ageing and intergenerational relations for cooperation,
- self-educating.
